Explore is one shelf — your flat's recipes, ones other flats have published, and a free library of public-domain ones — where every filter tells you how many recipes it will actually give you, so you never tap your way into an empty page. Put your own recipes up for other cooks if you want to. With Flat Pro, ask for a whole meal — breakfast, lunch, dinner or snacks — and you get a menu somebody composed, filled in from the recipes you already have, portioned for the guests you're expecting. Say the table is vegan or gluten-free and the menu is still that cuisine: every one carries its author's own dishes for a table that can't eat the first choice. Or put one together yourself and keep it.

Is PowrFlats free?
Yes. The free plan covers everyday flat life: a shared calendar and chores, expense splitting, one shopping list, one shared and two private to-do lists, up to 10 recipes, 5 plants and 3 flatmates. Flat Pro (CHF 4.90 per month) lifts the limits and adds the AI assistant.
Does every flatmate have to pay?
No. One Flat Pro subscription covers the whole flat, and every member gets the features. One person pays, everyone benefits.
Is there a phone app?
PowrFlats installs to your phone's home screen and works like a native app, including offline for the basics. An Android version for Google Play is on the way.
What can PowrFlats actually do?
Shared chores and calendar, private and shared to-do lists, expense splitting in your currency, pet-feeding tracking, plant-watering reminders, shared shopping lists with barcode scanning, and a community area for your building.
Does it work for a whole building, not just one flat?
Yes. Communities connect several flats in a building to share a laundry booking schedule, events and a noticeboard.
What happens when someone moves out?
Moving out is a guided step, not a delete button. It settles the leaver's share so the flat's balances still add up, hands their shared lists, recipes and recurring bills to a flatmate, and lets them take their own things with them — private lists and recipes follow them automatically, and they can bring plants and pets to a new flat.
What happens to my data?
We store only what you enter, on servers in Switzerland. No tracking, no ads, and we never sell your data. You can download everything tied to your account as a file at any time, and deleting your account leaves each of your flats properly rather than stranding them.
Which languages does it speak?
English, German and French, with the informal you. Dates, numbers and your flat's currency are formatted for each flatmate's language, and the flat picks its own country, timezone and currency.
Can I use PowrFlats without any AI?
Yes. AI-Free Mode in My Account is a per-person switch: turn it on and nothing is sent to an AI on your behalf. Matey goes quiet for you and plants use standard care intervals instead of suggested ones. It is free and it is yours alone — which also means a flatmate who keeps using Matey still has an assistant that reads the flat's shared entries. A flat that wants no AI at all switches Matey off for everyone in Flat settings.
